Grange Resources Limited (Grange Resources) is Australia's most experienced magnetite producer from its iron ore mining and pellet production business located in North-West Tasmania.

An exciting opportunity is available for a Maintenance Superintendent to lead our multidisciplinary Maintenance team at Port Latta.

The Professional Opportunity:

In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of maintenance trades-based personnel to work safely and efficiently deliver reliable equipment to meet production targets. You will also be responsible for the maintenance planning process and developing strategies for cost-effective maintenance of all aspects of our pellet plant operations.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Influence and implement maintenance strategy working on the condition monitoring principles
  • Ensuring production opportunities are maximised to achieve the production target
  • Driving continuous improvements on maintenance availability and efficiency of process equipment
  • Working with the Operations, Engineering, and QPI teams to assist in the resolution of technical maintenance issues and drive safety and process improvement
  • Ensuring adequate resources are available for meeting scheduled and repair/breakdown maintenance

The successful candidate would possess the following:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years experience of maintenance at Supervisory level in a large-scale mineral processing operation with emphasis on Furnace / Pellet Production, Conveyors, Stackers, Reclaimers and Ship loading facilities
  • Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification along with project management experience
  • Experience with structural steelwork rectification and mechanical installation
  • Understanding of basic electrical and instrument process control systems
  • Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills and the demonstrated ability to support a multidisciplinary team to achieve planned outcomes  
  • Working knowledge of maintenance planning and equipment monitoring software packages
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Suite
